I love the team at G. I am the travel agent and hosted the groups for our Cambodia and Thailand trips. Our CEO Minty could not have been better. She was understanding, knowledgeable, resourceful and truly cared about our group and group members. I encouraged our group members to tip her very well. We did have a few snags, but none caused by Minty. She was a 10/10.

You can see sites you normally wouldn't see, everything is planned out for you but you are not forced to participate, you can take a break and do your own thing.

Great balance between adventure/exploring as well as accommodations

The reason I didn't give a '10' score is because the tour included several long days', ground travel (and one night by train) between locations, where flights could have been offered as an alternative, whether having travelers book these themselves or having G Adventures arrange booking and transfers. Since the ground transportation isn't based on head count when renting a bus or van, other than just size of the vehicle, there may be quite a few who would take it due to additional cost of flights or preference for grand transportation. I'm not sure how this would be constructed financially, however, a total of 3 days and a night were lost to simply nothing but riding in a bus.

Our tour guide Minty was phenomenal. She is a trove of information and knowledge on how to navigate around that part of the world I was previously unfamiliar with. I can't begin to express how grateful I am to have her with us.

Amazing way to see large parts of Thailand (in my case Bangkok, Ayyutaya and Chiangmai). Great exposure to cultural and historical monuments. Traveled with the night train, which was nowhere near as daunting as some (including the CEO lead us to believe haha). Got lots of relevant information from the CEO before every stop about the cultural and historical significance of what we were about to see/tour. If I HAD to put my finger on a downside it would be language barrier of our CEO, who had a wide range when it comes to vocabulary, just maybe pronounced some things a little differently, leading to some misunderstandings. Additionally the way the next day was presented was often times confusing, but always understandable when we asked him to repeat the instructions (for example what time we were getting up, eating breakfast, leaving hotel, getting at first, second, third sights to see, how much time we had at the respective sights). This is in part also due to the large amounts of info to digest given all at once (again with somewhat difficulty understanding). I think an excellent way to avoid this would be to send all the info to be delivered in bullet form in the WhatsApp group, tell everyone the info is sent, give them 2 mins to read it, go through it verbally, then ask if there's any questions. Easier for all parts. More on the plus side is the CEOs extreme outgoingness and easy going, which made him a joy to speak with and interact with. He also made all trips to restaurants and events go extremely smoothly - for example taking orders from people in the group to make the food come faster, working as a go between if we had any questions to the people in the stores/shops/markets/etc. Overall highly recommend this trip. If the communication bit had the above improvements this trip would have been absolutely stellar!
