Climb to the top of the star-shaped Mardasson Monument for a birds-eye view of the fields where the World War II’s Battle of the Bulge was fought. Cruise through Amsterdam’s canal district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sailing past 16th-Century merchant houses and the iconic Magere Brug — the skinny, white-painted wood bridge over the Amstel River. Travel director seemed to be "rusty", as if he was out of practice. The ala carte breakfast dining option at he Pillows hotel in Amsterdam caused much uncertainty as to what we may have ordered and what not. Either a buffet type breakfast should be provided or a much clearer explanations as to what and what not may be ordered off the menu. Staff were also very slow and unfriendly.

Tour was not as 'Escorted' as advertised. Quality of local tours has deteriorated with mostly outdoor walks and not enough indoor touring like historic places.

Top notch. Absolutely no complaints. All of the included items were great. Visit to war museum was a highlight and amount of time allocated perfect. The optional Flower Auction was one of the most memorable and should continue to be offered on this tour. Chose this tour because it takes you through countryside with all the beautiful scenery.

The ala carte breakfast arrangement at the Pillows hotel in Amsterdam is a poor idea. A buffet type breakfast as in all the other hotels on the tour would be much better. There was much confusion about what and what may not be ordered.

This was our 3rd Insight Vacation and we look forward to many more! Great service and wonderful travel directors. The itinerary was well planned and well paced. Our guide, Peter D. Was extremely knowledgeable about the places we visited and the local guides were also excellent. Peter was very sensitive to the needs of everyone in our group and receptive to requests among them. We would welcome the opportunity to travel with Peter again!

If you have an issue, they will try to help. Very open to comments during discussions. Also, each step/event was explained clearly. I really enjoyed this tour. There was a lot of variety each day and the optional excursions added a lot to the experience. I thought Anne Elyse was an excellent tour director. She handled everything that came at her in a professional way and made changes to the schedule that allowed us to enjoy it more. I especially appreciated the individual attention she gave each of us. Our driver was also very professional.

If one is interested in the lowland countries with their contributions to their society and ours at the present day, this trip is for you. I have a particular interest in the effect of the 2 world wars on those countries, ad this was covered quite well. The itinerary was very good and met my interests in WWII history. And the local guides selected for these visits were very informative. I have some thoughts on the choice of hotels. Most of the tubs/showers did not have any grab bars for safety getting in and out of the tub to be able to shower & wash your hair. Several tour members mentioned the need for grab bars in the shower/tub area. Several of us were disappointed in the tour director and questioned Insight as a tour company. I told 3 ladies, who were traveling with Insight for the 1st time & asked about Insight Vacations, that I had traveled with Insight since 2004 and this was my 1st major disappointment in the choice of the tour director.

The itinerary was OK Some of the hotels were not up to quality compared to past Insight tours. It seems that Insight has slipped down a few notches from past tours taken with them. Could have been better.

Comfortable bus, nice hotels . Include more optional excursions such as Antwerp, Scenic Bruges Canal Cruise and Kinderdijke as all passengers seemed to participate. This would allow our tour guide time to talk about the country and what we are driving through rather than making bookings. Commentary on the tour was pour and thanks to the wifi googled things we were seeing.

My travel agent did most of the dealing before the tour started but I appreciated the option to book the first hotel for an extra night at a good rate. As I watched others, transfers to and from the airport was done well. During the tour, our Tour Director, AnneEylse, was very attentive to every detail and went beyond requirements to help. There is a lot of variety in this itinerary- a good mix of old cities with history and culture, war memorials and back roads of a pretty area.
