Experience Overview
Get ready to live like a local on this off-season trip to the hilltop towns and vineyards of the Amalfi Coast. Explore the small towns and trails of this beautiful countryside while experiencing local customs and once-in-a-lifetime moments. Explore the ruins of Pompeii in the morning, hike the coastline of the Med by afternoon, and tuck into bed at your converted 17th-century monastery homebase at sundown. Since this trip takes place in the off season when it's just a bit cooler out, there are fewer people around the Amalfi Coast—meaning you'll have that much more paradise all to yourself.

Pompeii has been a lifelong dream for me, and the combination of excellent food and hiking made the trip absolutely perfect.

The tour was well organised and from start to finish dealing with G Adventures was very easy. I felt I received enough information about the tour, but also there was still surprises on the trip that exceeded my expectations. Our tour leader, Pierluigi, was fully engaged in the tour and making sure we all the most out of it.

This is my first tour with G and I loved it! It was a Fantastic Experience. I will recommend G any day but also this particular tour as you get to see the locals and what they'do and you are based at one place and then travel on day excursions which was great!!

Not too rushed of an itinerary, each place we get a good few hours to explore. The farmhouse where we stayed is beautiful, it is good we are not changing places every day.

If I based my response on this trip alone, the rating would be lower. My first trip was excellent. This local living trip was not as described, numerous things went wrong or were chaotic and I found the CEO of little help The food was fantastic and the accommodations very nice however the farmhouse location made me feel isolated and stuck. Our free day was underutilized due to the combination of poor communication from the CEO, lack of local knowledge from the CEO and limited transportation.

Beautiful destination, excellent CEO, excellent stay at the agriturismo - comfortable accommodations, delicious food and great service. Also love the Local Living travel style - don't have to pack and unpack and still able to see all of the surrounding towns and notable landmarks in the area.

I really enjoyed the style of travel, and thought that G Adventures did an excellent job of looking after everything, and have heard the same thing from other people that have used them before.

I am a TA and love the LL travel style. I love Agritourismo and I love Italy so felt like a great first time trip with G. I sell a lot of group travel and my clientele would be very interested in this sort of trip. I hope G looks to offer more LL tours. Tuscany Agritourismo would be a huge seller among others!!!! Seems to be a lot of opportunity in Italy among other European destinations. Let me know if you want to explore other opps!
