Trying to communicate with Insight was very difficult. There was no response when emails were sent. My travel agent spent hours on hold and emails were not even given acknowledgement even to say they had received the email. There needs to be greater improvement in regard to customer service. The tour was well planned but would definitely have liked at least two nights in Budapest, Wurzburg and also a night in Rothenburg. Our tour guide was amazing with her energy and her VIP service and our coach driver with his legendary driving skills, it is people like this that make Insight what it is today. One recommendation I would suggest is less one-night stays and having a couple of 3-night stays this would help with the hectic pace and the early starts every day. Perhaps also a train ride between one or two destinations rather than being confined to a coach as some days due to traffic it would take most of the day to move to the next destination.

We really had a great vacation. We had never done a bus tour before and overall we were very happy. Insight does a great job planning out every aspect of the trip. Our TD Jelle was excellent and took very good care of us. He was quick and efficient to take care of any issues that popped up. Simone our driver was excellent as well. So professional and a master at driving. Our tour was just under 3 weeks long and he did a wonderful job driving all those miles. We booked our tour online and then had to call a few times to change some things. Their costumer service on our calls was excellent as well. We will definitely travel with Insight again. We loved all our stops. Can’t say there was anywhere that was a disappointment! Although this tour covers a lot of miles, it’s worth it to reach the places we got to see. Would definitely recommended if you want a taste of many different countries. Lots of walking. Enjoyed it a lot.

All of the service providers we interacted with were pleasant, polite and helpful. A particular circumstance was when my husband ended up with a back muscle spasm and our driver (Simone) provided him with a heat wrap to help with the pain. This provided great relief until we could find a pharmacy to get him muscle relaxants. The itinerary was close to what we had expected ( cities and sights). The coach was always immaculate and fresh smelling. The hotels varied in room size and access but they were clean and beautiful. In general, any experience that was a sit-down experience ( such as , dinner) were crowded ( insufficient room to sit and move ). The ‘hay’ ride experience in Lake Lucerne was crowded. If they had provided an additional wagon we could have enjoyed the experience much better. As it was a younger person had to sit on the floor of the wagon to accommodate enough space. The sound system was insufficient on the Prague evening cruise. It might have been helpful to have all the local guides use the sound system provided to to us. The glass blowing, leather and gold experiences were cheesy and we felt pressured to purchase their goods. It seemed like a wasted experience as part of the tour cost. Experiences that included local entertainment were fun but went on too long, with the exception of Moulin Rouge, which was exceptional. The food provided in these dinner experiences were very disappointing in quality, especially for the cost. It would have been nice to have had choices in the menu,. The most disappointing meal was our Farewell Dinner in Paris in which we had an atypical French meal of sausage, boiled potatoes and sauerkraut.

The Coach was new and terrific. The tour director was fabulous as was the driver. The food was mostly so so as were the hotels. I would definitely offer better food options and bring the standard of the poor hotels up to meet the nice ones. The itinerary was a lot and busy. Ourselves and most others on the tour felt a little more free time would have been good. However we did opt to take all the optional optional experiences which definitely filled the days.

Wonderful tour, awesome Tour Director (John Jennings), thoroughly enjoyed every moment and got fitter in the process as well. We saw and did so much. Highly recommended. Very well organized. Great Tour Director and bus driver. 2nd trip with Insight and will book again. Lots of leg room on the bus. Enjoyed the itinerary. More time in Budapest would be nice. The two stops for meals in the Italian countryside were highlights. The restaurants were a lot of fun and good food with the exception of the lunch in Germany where food was bland and overcooked. The Prague Folklore show, dinner at Marchvelderhof and Roman dinner party at Termi De Colosseo and Swiss Evening. were great food and alot of fun! Really loved that these dinners were more than food and were interactive.
