This is the 3rd trip I've done with G Adventures, and I have booked and considered booking with competitors in the past. There are many pros and cons to booking with G (and organized tour groups in general). G is more expensive than other companies and is often funding itself (through taking participants to G-owned hostels/hotels and restaurants) and upscaling the prices on optional activities- However, the one thing that keeps pulling me back to G (and hence the higher rating) is that it is one of the more ethnical travel companies to travel with. I was very impressed how G Adventures strongly condemned visiting elephant sanctuaries (even the 'ethical' ones) and our CEO specified we would need to sign a waiver if we decided to visit one. I chose my first G trip (the Inca trail) to do with this company because of it's fair pay accreditation to porters which is really important to me. So while G Adventures did lose some points, it won me back by having a strong ethnical foundation, and for that reason I will be booking with them in the future

I loved the quality and price relationship. Everything was super well organized. I really loved our CEO - Nak. The fact that he was a local person who grew up in Cambodia was definitely a very big plus point. Additionally, he really went out of his way to help us

The best possible trip to see so many amazing things in a condensed timeline. It also included some activities I might not have known to do on my own and lots of new friends!

I would rather look into other companies and see what else there is. I tried G Adventures in South America, it was hectic and lots of parties (every night), I tried them in Asia and the standard for accommodations were so, so. Now I'm in India and ended up at a place with bedbugs, so no. Not super happy with G Adventures right now.

Andrea W.   -  Traveled, November 2023

The itinerary was very varied, well organised and the activities were really great. Our CEOs and guides were incredibly helpful and experienced. Nevertheless, the pace of the trip was very fast. We stayed a maximum of 1-2 nights in the same place, which made it difficult to process the many impressions and experiences. Sometimes I would have liked an early check-in or late check-out.

Affordable tours with a great selection of optional activities to tailor the tour to your travel style and a good balance of natural and cultural sights. Very conscious of sustainable and ethical tourism that supports local communities which is reflected in their G For Good initiatives and the businesses they partner with.

I would 100% recommend it, providing they are interested in fast paced travel. The intensity of the itinerary is not for everyone.

I have been recommending G Adventures to several of my friends however after this tour I think It would now depend on the type of trip. The trips I've taken in the past felt more heavy on physical activities and nature. Where as this trip was more people, food and culture, for such a trip I tend to prefer to go on my own volition and itinerary.

I had an excellent experience with G Adventures and would highly recommend. One reason being: the organization of transport, accommodation and activities was exceptional and made the trip stress free. The second reason being: the experiences you gain ranging from overnight trains/ buses to home stays. It was so nice and prepared me well for my solo trip. The third reason: you get to see so much in such a short time very efficiently planned. So it's so good if you only have a short period of time yet you want to explore multiple countries. Finally, our guide (Chender) made my trip, he was so informative, helpful and funny. There was never a dull moment and he was always available if we needed anything at all. Therefore overall I would definitely be telling my friends and family to book a tour with this company.
