Tour Operator
Contiki (CA)
Contiki is a New Zealand-based tour company that caters to 18 to 35-year-olds, offering over 350 different tours in over 75 countries in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, North America, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.[1] It is a subsidiary of The Travel Corporation. Its tours historically had a reputation for partying;[2][3] however, it also operates wellness trips culturally immersive experiences that focus less on alcohol, which are more popular with Generation Z.[4] The company owns lodging facilities in Europe, including the Chateau De Cruix, a 16th century castle in the Beaujolais wine region, and the Gasthof Schoneck in the Austrian Tyrol. The name "Contiki" comes from the portmanteau 'Con' from the word 'Continent' and 'Tiki'; from the Māori referring to the first man, often symbolised as a pendant known as hei-tiki. It can also be attributed to the New Zealand slang 'Tiki-tour' describing taking a longer route to a destination in order to explore.[5]

It was a good trip. I just think it should have been 1 night longer. I think it was a bit unfair to have to be ready to get on the bus at 6:45am the day After St Patrick's Day.

This trip was absolutely amazing. It's short so there aren't that many scheduled activities which I liked. You have a lot of free time to explore Dublin on your own. The hotel was nice and it was an easy walk to Temple Bar. The only think I would have done different is skip the dinner at Merry Ploughboys. It was okay, but not really worth 50 euros. Everything else on this trip was completly perfect! If you're thinking about booking this trip stop thinking and do it!!

The tour was good I wished we had more time to see Manchester and Londonderry. The itinerary was good but didn’t like the ghost tour extra a lot of people didn’t enjoy the person giving it. The guy giving the ghost tour was not the regular person contiki uses though.

The trip crams all the best sights and scenes of Great Britain and Ireland into 18 days with highlights being exploring the streets of Edinburgh and partying the night away in Dublin and Belfast. Jacob gave the trip a special flair with his witty humour, comprehensive knowledge of the history of the areas we travelled to as well as his overall enthusiasm for travel. He made a special effort to connect with each of the travellers individually to ensure their experience was positive. Having an enthusiastic, smiling ball of energy at the front of the coach each morning made the experience that much more enjoyable.

The hotel was amazing, and it was reasonably close to the action. The trip was awesome, but we felt a little alienated when we had to share another bus home with another group.

Brooke and joey were great trip leaders. From brookes email beforehand which made checking into the hotel as a dublin starter and meeting up with the group so much easier. And brooke and joeys advice on what to do with our time in dublin as well as best places to see and do. The additional dinner and show was great and im very glad i did it.
